Good morning! I am so tired. Jake, our puppy, woke us up at 3am and again at 4am. I am thinking it was because of the leftover pork chop DH gave him the other night. Of course I had to get up to let him out both times. I wonder if it would be any different when we have a baby. Right now DH always says that's my dog, because I wanted him. It's frustrating when I can't get any help sometimes. People say it'll get better when you have children, but I don't see it. It makes me wonder if he's ready...
Update:
I went home for lunch and Jake had puked in his crate and when I let him out, he had diarrhea 5 times and puked twice. I left him outside and waited until DH got home for the day, so he could take him to the vet. He had blood in his poop and looked really tired. I didn't feed him or let him have any water. DH just called from the vet to inform me it was probably the cat poop that he's been trying to eat, so they want him to stay overnight with an IV and run some tests. Hell of a way to spend New Year's Eve! I don't know what to do about this cat that keeps crapping in our yard!

This is my first post. I am looking forward to throwing away the methods of birth control we have been using, assuming my husband still has a job next year. He finally came around and suggested himself that we just wing it in 2009. We should find out in January if his job is safe for another 4 years. I have been off the pill for almost a year, using the FAM method and it has definitely worked as far as preventing pregnancy, but we decided that we weren't going to plan having a baby. We are just going to have fun and wait for that surprise. If it doesn't happen after a year, then we'll get some help. If after 6 months, nothing happens, then I will go back to charting. No rush, though. I would like our puppy to be a little bit older.
We currently have 2 cats and a Labradoodle puppy that is 8 months old. I am 27 years old, turning 28 in March. My husband just turned 26 years old over the weekend. I am looking forward to blogging about our life and our journey to parenthood! Thanks for reading! Here is a picture of my husband and I on our wedding day!
