Sick
I have been sick for a couple days and had a fever yesterday morning. I am thankful I got my first solid crosshairs on Fertilty Friend! It looks like we may have a chance that I'm pregnant. I'm happy either way, but I'm secretly hoping for a BFP!

Today is CD 17 and I got another positive test this morning, so we'll see if my temp rises in the morning. I wasn't able to temp this morning. This Wed is the seminar for egg donors, so I'm going to check it out and probably sign up. We also decided that we wanted to take a nice vacation before we start trying, so I am looking into taking a skiing trip in April. I cannot wait to get our tax returns back, so we can see how much we can pay off.
On another note, my friend that we play soccer with didn't show up to the game last night (co-ed soccer) and I asked her husband where she was. He said she was at home (no real explanation). I know she is pregnant now, but that never stopped her from playing before. So, I asked if she was coming back and he said no. I am really upset that she didn't think to call me to let me know, considering I quit women's soccer due to our financial situation earlier. Well, since she quit, along with another girl, they need me to play. Am I wrong for feeling a little left out?

CD 16
Today is CD 16 and I got my positive ovulation test! So, my body looks like it is going back to normal. We are still trying to decide if we want to get pregnant soon or wait until after I donate my eggs. I would like to have a baby before I donate; DH would like to donate first. Of course, he is only thinking of money.
The Twilight movie was good, but it was a little cheesy. I guess it was really meant for teenagers!

Twilight
I know everyone and their mothers have seen the movie "Twilight," but I just finished the first book today. A friend at work and I were going to see the movie tonight, after looking at the movie times earlier in the week, but when we checked again today, apparently all the movie theaters surrounding Athens, GA has discontinued showing it. I don't think I can wait until it comes out on DVD!!!!

Update
I got a call back from the insurance broker (who talked to the insurance company) and they decided to change my insurance plan and re-submit the claim so that we will not have to pay for DH's Lasik! Yay!!!! So, we are still waiting on DH's job and I may go ahead and donate my eggs in the meantime. Then, we will be able to try soon after.

Egg donation
Since we are not TTC anymore...for a while...hubby mentioned egg donation for me, so we can bring in $6000. I have thought about it before and even went to an orientation, but at the time we lived too far away to go to all the appointments. Apparently, there is a clinic about 30 minutes away from our house, now. I was always worried that it would affect my chances of getting pregnant and I didn't like the fact that I would have to stick myself with needles. So, I will look into it further and start the application process. I will now update my blog about the egg donation process, from the donor's eyes. Maybe, I'll determine if I can get pregnant.

Sad
I am a little sad about not being able to have a baby this year. I screwed this up for us. Why wasn't I more careful about choosing our insurance plan? Either way, I do not need the added stress of having a baby with no money and crappy insurance. I might as well wait until open enrollment (October) and switch to the premier plan. When I switched last year, baby-making was not in my agenda for 2009. Why don't I think ahead?!?!?!!?

Insurance and Baby on Hold
Wow, yesterday was such a worldwind. It looks like we will have to put this baby thing on hold for a while. DH has Lasik eye surgery for his vision last month. My insurance, through work, pays up to $2600 total; which they reimburse to us. The total surgery was $3200, so we would only have to pay $600 out of pocket...which is great!! Well, my company offers 2 insurance programs (standard and premium). Premium is the only program that pays for Lasik. When we had open enrollment in October, I switched to the standard plan to save us money out of each paycheck. We also switched insurance companies and of course the premiums went up. When comparing between the standard and premium plans, the only differences were between outpatient surgeries (standard covering 90% and premium covering 100%). Apparently, Lasik being covered only on the premium plan was the difference as well and I didn't realize it. No where on the comparing notes was that listed. We knew that DH wanted to have that procedure done, assuming it would be paid for. Well, after questioning the insurance company to why they denied payment, we find out that it is not covered under the standard plan. So, we know have to come up with $3200 before the end of year (care credit - same as cash for a year). That's $270 per month to pay it off in a year!!
Needless to say, this has definitely put us in a bind. I quit women's soccer ($70 for 8 weeks) and DH is looking to work part-time at Auto Zone.

Today, DH is going to Jacksonville, FL for work and will back tomorrow night. Luckily, we made dinner last night and I can have leftovers tonight. I plan on going to the gym tonight, but we'll see how that goes. This cold weather leaves me so unmotivated. I just want to crawl under the covers and be lazy. In fact, I was lazy all weekend! I never left the house since Friday night. Friday night, we went to our friend's b-day dinner & then played Hold 'Em until 2 am. It was so much fun. Saturday, DH went fishing with a friend and I read my book (finished "Marley and Me"). Sure, I did some laundry and picked up a little. Yesterday, hubby was lazy with me. We watched a couple shows and movies and made dinner. We also made a crock pot dinner that I'm going to put on tomorrow morning. It's beef stew with veggies and potatoes. I can't wait to try this one!

CD40
Today is cycle day 40. This has been my longest cycle since being on Depo Provera...8 years ago.
We went to dinner at Frontera for Melisa's b-day. She turned 30 and they have been trying to get knocked up. She got pregnant right away, but found out she had a blighted ovum. So, they are still trying.
After dinner, we went to their house and I played Hold 'Em with the boys, with a $5 buy-in and walked away with $15. I definitely got lucky! Today, hubby is going fishing while I just veg out. We got home at almost 3am, so I'm freakin' tired. We let Jake sleep with us in the bed last night and I don't think we'll do that again. He took up a lot of space and almost kicked me out of bed!
Tonight, maybe we'll watch a movie...

Ob/Gyn appointment
The appointment went ok. She wants me to call her if I have not seen AF by February. If I do see AF before then, she wants me to test for ovulation. If I do not ovulate for 2 cycles straight, then I will need to come in. At that point, we'll probably do some testing. If I do, we're just going to see what happens. She said she hopes she'll see me in a few months, when I'm pregnant. :)
My ob/gyn appt is today at 2:15pm and I am curious to see what she will say and what tests she will run. I am worried that we will have problems conceiving for some reason. We aren't in any hurry to get pregnant, but if we will have some issues, I would like to know sooner rather than later. I need to get my act together as far as remembering to take my temperature in the mornings, so I can determine if I'm ovulating. I know that I have in the past, according to my chart and OPK's, but I have not bought any ovulation tests, because we are not actively trying to conceive. So, the next time I go to the grocery store, I will purchase some tests. I will update my blog later today, once I find out what the doctor says.

Wondering
Last night, we finally went to the grocery store and made taco salad when we got home. Jake is feeling good, but it's been so wet here, that we can't play outside. I can't even take the poor guy out for a walk! We watched Top Gear on BBC and I fell asleep on the couch at 9pm. DH went to the gym around 10pm last night & I was not motivated to go. I need to get in shape. DH is trying to lose 20 lbs before my b-day in March. I'm glad he's into it, again. I would like to be able to run a 5k. That is my goal for this year.
BTW, still no sign of AF. My ob/gyn appt is tomorrow...I have not taken a pregnancy test. I figure they will do one there. I do not think I am pregnant, but there is always a chance. I do not feel different whatsoever. I will updated tomorrow.

Weekend
Friday night, we did absolutely nothing. We had some wings and fries that we made for dinner and DH co-worker came over to hang out for a bit. Saturday, we took all of our Christmas decorations down and cleaned up a little. We also met with a a woman from Liberty National about whole life insurance. I read Marley and Me for a while and then we went to dinner with some neighbors for his b-day. Yesterday, we hung out and then rode to Petsmart with Jake to buy him a new bed (he threw up on the old one). Then, we went to DH's cousin's house for a play date and then went home. Last night was the first night Jake slept in his crate with the door open, so he'll be sleeping without his crate in no time!
BTW, I am at CD35...wtf!

My friend, who is about 10 weeks pregnant, had her first ultrasound today!!!! Everything looks good! She had a miscarriage a few months ago and ended up having a cyst rupture on her ovary. So, I am so thankful everything is good, so far. I am very excited about this pregnancy. She is the first in our group of friends that is pregnant. My other friend who is trying had a miscarriage as well. I am really hoping we don't have any problems. My friend from work mentioned that men that are TTC should not have their cell phones in their pockets and should not use a laptop on their lap. Have any of you determined if this is true or not?

We picked Jake up from the vet this morning and he still had horrible diarrhea, but looked like he felt much better. The tests that they ran were inconclusive. So, we have no idea what made him sick. We got some meds to give him for the diarrhea and he hasn't vomited since yesterday afternoon. So, hopefully we are in the clear.
Here is a picture of Jake...

Last night, for New Year's Eve, we went to a neighbor's house, but I ended up leaving around 11:30 and went to bed. DH came home about 12:30. I think it was a mixture of the wine and my stomach has been bothering me, anyway. Come to think of it, my stomach always bothers me when AF is due, which is any day now. This month is the second month where I believe I have not ovulated. So, I am at 31 days into my cycle, which is normally is no more than 28 days. Last month was 35 days. It is weird, because my cycles have always been normal and regular. So, I am really hoping we don't have a hard time getting pregnant.
